Student’s life
Time spent at the university is not all about education and class participation; it is also an excellent opportunity to develop hobbies and interests. Many research societies and student organizations operate at the Jagiellonian University, including faculty- and university-wide ones. These societies allow students to spend their free time actively, gain knowledge, develop their talents, participate in engaging, unconventional projects, go on research and team-building trips, participate in conferences, and meet fellow students outside the lecture halls. There are many student associations at the Faculty of International and Political Studies, f. e. Middle East Research Group.
Students interested in the international dimension of studying can participate in a wide variety of exchange programmes, such as Erasmus+, CEEPUS, Utrecht Network, bilateral exchange programmes, European university Una Europa, or the domestic mobility programme called MOST.

Graduates
The dynamic development of the international environment and the socio-economic changes in Africa are challenging the whole country. Poland is increasing its diplomatic and host presence on the African continent, both through the development of bilateral relations and within international organisations (especially the EU and the UN). There are Polish diplomatic and economic missions in African countries. Poland participates in international programmes (humanitarian aid, UN peacekeeping missions, Polish Humanitarian Action has been supporting development for many years and trying to counteract local problems in Africa). A unique Polish program dedicated to Africa, "Go Africa" is the government program for Polish companies and entrepreneurs. Polish companies have already achieved their first successes in Africa, as shown by the example of "Ursus".
Increasing Poland's involvement in Africa requires appropriate financial outlays and qualified staff with knowledge about social structures and institutions in Africa and the human role in creating these structures and institutions. This knowledge can only be provided by studies that balance subjects in social sciences and humanities. An essential element is the development of heuristic skills concerning contemporary Africa and language skills. The need to develop cultural and communication competencies that consider the conditions of African and Islamic civilisation is significant.
